Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Growth could be the word to describe Charlotte Warren‘s  twenty-year tenure as president of Lincoln Land Community College.

“In our communities, especially when you are not in a larger urban community, you have more rural, and so our district is the largest district in the state,” Warren told the WTAX Morning Newswatch Friday. “We have 15 counties, 4,115 square miles, and eight locations. And so there are many people out there who may want to go get a four year (degree) but aren’t ready in their lives.”

Warren, who is retiring after this school year, says she is very much in favor of Gov. JB Pritzker’s proposal to allow community colleges to offer four-year degrees in some disciplines.
