Mikee in the Morning

How it all started (radio)

I graduated college from Robert Morris in Sept 2000 and stopped by Cecil’s Bar & Grill for some celebratory drinks with classmates. WDBR was doing a Bears vs Packers Monday Night Football Party and the entire staff was in attendance. Got to talking to everyone during the game and before I left, I was offered a part time job in the promotions dept. Since I had Student Loans getting ready to kick, I said Yes!!!!

How it’s going

20 Plus Years doing radio in my Hometown!!!! I think it’s going pretty good.

My favorite local hobby

Djing and my favorite place to hang out. The Curve Inn. Been doing that for 14 years. It’s pretty cool to get paid to do something you love to do anyways.   Fantasy Sports is pretty fun too. Depending if I’m winning or not.

My favorite local event

So many great events to list but I really enjoy being a part of The Cares For Kids Radiothon every year. We get to talk to so many people that have been helped by HSHS Childrens Hospital.

My family  I have a daughter that just turned 17…..A Brother, Sister, Mom and Several Nieces that live in the area.

Where I came from

Right here in Central IL. Ran up and down those rough streets of Riverton. I was 217 Problem before 217 Problems was a thing.

My hidden talent or claim to fame

I can wiggle my eyes back and forth really fast. So fast it looks like I’m possessed. Who knows, Maybe I am LOL.
