Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Two people are arrested in connection with an investigation into a shooting in April in Springfield’s Laketown neighborhood.

According to a news release, the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Department has arrested Darrian Stephenson, 19, and Christopher Dibello, 20, on warrants charging them with Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm with No FOID, and Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.

The shooting happened April 24 in the 3200 block of Normando Road.  The Sheriff’s Department says numerous shots were heard in the area, and investigators believe two homes and one car all were hit by gunfire.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Springfield Police Department and the United States Marshal Service for their assistance in this investigation,” said the news release.
