Springfield man arrested on several child sexual assault charges

Springfield, IL (WAND) – A Springfield man was arrested on several child sexual assault charges last week.

According to the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Jeremy S. Lafleur was arrested on March 19 on six counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.

According to court records, Lafleur pleaded not guilty. He was denied pretrial release, and a trial is set for March 30.
