Springfield man arrested on multiple drug and weapons charges

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Springfield Police report the arrest of a man Wednesday following a narcotics investigation.

38-year-old Terry Ballinger, of Springfield, was taken into custody after a search of his home found crack cocaine, a semi-automatic pistol, and U.S. currency.

Ballinger was transported to the Sangamon County jail and arrested on charges of being an armed habitual criminal, manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of weapon by a convicted felon and possession of firearms without a FOID card. Online court records do not yet list any scheduled court appearances.
