Springfield, IL (WAND) –  The cause of a house fire in Springfield is currently under investigation.

The Springfield Fire Department was called to a house fire in the 1000 block of N. 10th St. at 1:30 Thursday morning.

Firefighters found fire on the back porch that was extending into the inside of the second floor.

The fire was put out, and the house was searched. It was unoccupied. No injuries were reported.

The fire department was there for about two hours. The property damage is estimated at $100,000.
