Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A firm described as “the nation’s leading salon suite franchise” wants to expand its Illinois footprint, and is looking to open a location in Springfield.
According to a news release, Phenix Salon Suites has signed a “two-unit development agreement that will bring new locations to Central Illinois.” A spokesperson confirms that one of those locations will be in Springfield, but locations are still being scouted.
With more than ten locations already in Illinois, Phenix will be “providing hairstylists, estheticians, nail technicians, massage therapists, and other Lifestyle Professionals with fully customizable spaces to own and operate their businesses independently,” said the release.
The company says no salon experience is necessary to be a franchisee, a minimum of $300,000 to invest is needed, as is business experience and working knowledge of commercial real estate. They say they recently “cost-engineered” the buildout of new locations, making for as much as a 20 percent reduction in construction costs.
