Ride Route 66 for a good cause this weekend

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Get your motorcycles and jeeps ready for a Route 66 cruise!

The United Way of Central Illinois is putting on a benefit to raise funds for programs assisting the community. Marne Fauser, CEO of the United Way of Central IL, was on The WTAX Morning Newswatch to discuss this upcoming event.

Saturday, June 27th, we have our second annual motorcycle ride,” said Fauser. “We are really excited to co-brand with Route 66 and Visit Springfield. So, what a better way to show people Springfield than traveling around on a motorcycle or Jeep?”

For more information and how you can sign up, CLICK HERE. Registration starts at 11 a.m.. Kickstands go up at 11:45 a.m. There will be gift cards raffled off at every stop along the ride. Cost is $20 per bike or Jeep, and $5 per additional rider.
