Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – One Springfield location of a fast food restaurant has officially moved across the street and down the block from its previous spot.

Signage and a news release confirm Long John Silver’s has opened its now home at 3112 S. Dirksen Parkway, inbetween a new electric vehicle charging station, and the Hilton Garden Inn.  Construction on the new building started during the winter, and the news release describes the restaurant as having “a completely modern design.”

“It’s been great to see this space come to life, and we’re excited to welcome the Springfield community to our new restaurant,” said Kevin Kupniewski, executive vice president of OpCo Operations, Long John Silver’s. “This move has given us the opportunity to elevate the guest experience while continuing to provide the fan favorite menu items and great service our guests expect from Long John Silver’s.”

The new eatery, according to a news release, includes digital menu boards, self-order kiosks, and amenities that are “intended to elevate the guest experience,” said the release.

The new Long John Silver’s will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m.

A second Long John Silver’s remains in Springfield, combined with an A&W restaurant, at 1030 Clocktower Drive.
