Multiple arrets made in Taylorville/Assumption narcotics investigation

Taylorville, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) From our news partners at WAND TV. A joint effort between the Taylorville and Assumption police departments has resulted in multiple arrests and the seizure of crucial evidence.

The operation came to a head late Thursday night when Police Chief Wheeler conducted a traffic stop on individuals associated with the ongoing investigation.

Following the initial stop, a judge approved a search warrant that was executed around 1:30a.m. Friday by the Emergency Response Team (ERT), led by Sergeant Dickey in Assumption.

According to a social media post by the Taylorville Police Department, several pieces of evidence were recovered from the residence during the search.

The following individuals were arrested in connection with the investigation:

  • Clayton A. Langley, Assumption – charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver (15–100 grams).
  • Ericka L. Zahradka, Assumption – charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver (15–100 grams).
  • Rebecca Burke, Taylorville – charged with possession of methamphetamine.
  • Justin Bright, Taylorville – charged with possession of methamphetamine.
