Meet Polo — APL Cat of the Week

Meet Polo — APL Cat of the Week

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Polo is an 11-year-old brown tabby with a heart as beautiful as her soft stripes. This pretty girl has been through a lot, and the shelter can feel like a scary place for her — she’s a little shy and takes some time to feel comfortable in new surroundings.

Polo only has one eye, which makes her extra special and uniquely beautiful. Once she learns she’s safe and loved, her gentle personality begins to shine. She enjoys quiet company, soft voices, and cozy napping spots where she can watch the world go by. Polo isn’t the kind of cat to demand attention — instead, she’ll quietly melt your heart with her calm presence and sweet spirit.

She’s looking for a patient, loving home that will give her the time and space she needs to blossom. If you have a soft spot for shy cats and believe that the best things come to those who wait, Polo may be your perfect match. Come meet her at the Animal Protective League, located at 1001 Taintor Road in Springfield. We’re open every day from noon to 5 p.m.
