Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Introducing Nova, our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week.

Nova is a beautiful land hippo who is looking for love and a home to call her own.  She’s a chunky girl with a big pittie head that is just adorable. Nova is around two years old, and she’s an easy going girl who likes to take calm walks. She also likes to just sit in the sunshine with her human friend and watch the world go by. When Nova looks into your eyes, your heart will melt.

Nova is available for foster, foster to adopt, and adoption. If you’re looking for a new best friend, come on out to Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center to meet Nova and all of the other dogs and cats looking for love. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and 9:00-1:00.
