Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts sweet, snuggly, and slightly ridiculous, Buster might just be your soulmate.

He’s about two years young and currently living his best foster life, learning the ins and outs of being a house dog—and absolutely crushing it in most areas (we’re still working on perfecting the potty schedule, but he’s catching on fast). He’s got that “laid-back dude with bursts of goofy chaos” vibe down to a science. One minute he’s zooming after a flirt pole, the next he’s snoozing to classical music with a dramatic sigh like he just paid taxes.

Crate trained
Sleeps through the night
Loves walkies (especially the snorty kind)
Celebrated a solid poop like it was a national holiday
Thinks you are the best thing since peanut butter (and that is saying A LOT)

Buster is a total social butterfly. He loves other dogs and dives right into introductions with full tail-wagging excitement. Sometimes he forgets his manners and comes on strong, so he’d thrive with a confident, playful dog sibling who can show him the ropes and keep up with his enthusiasm. He means well—always—and hasn’t shown a single problematic behavior, just a little joyful exuberance.

He’s currently coexisting peacefully with his foster brother, Rizzo. No drama, just shared nap times and mutual understanding.

He recently went on a playdate with a pup friend named Misty and, in true Buster fashion, tripped mid-zoom, face planted into the dirt, and came up grinning like it was the best day of his life. That’s just who he is—joyful, resilient, and always ready to love on his people and fur friends.

He’s also a certified kiddo cuddler. Tiny humans are at the top of his snuggle buddy list, and he’s incredibly gentle and affectionate with them. If your house has kids, Buster’s going to think he hit the jackpot.

Buster is a dog who wants nothing more than to make his humans proud. He’s a soft-hearted snugglebug with just enough goofy energy to keep life interesting.

Ready for a little chaos, a lot of cuddles, and a best friend who snorts like a tiny piglet? Buster’s waiting to meet you.
