Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A Springfield man is jailed after an investigation turned up illegal drugs and weapons.
Springfield Police say Contavious Kidd, 37, is in the Sangamon County Jail on charges including Armed Habitual Criminal, Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, and Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance. Online court records are not yet available for the case, so it’s not clear when he will make a court appearance.
Kidd was arrested Monday “following an ongoing narcotics investigation,” according to a police news release. After a search warrant was obtained, officers say they found the following in his home:
- Approximately 80 grams of suspected Heroin
- Approximately 28 grams of suspected Cocaine
- Approximately 52 grams of suspected Methamphetamine
- Approximately 94 grams of suspected Cannabis
- Approximately 112 grams of suspected Fentanyl
- Two illegal firearms
