Man in custody following Logan County police standoff

Lincoln, IL (CAPTIOL CITY NOW) – A Logan County man is in jail on charges of domestic battery and weapons offenses.

Lincoln Police report responding to a call at Lincoln Memorial Hospital around 5:40 last Sunday evening for a reported domestic battery.

The investigation then led to the 700 Block of South Kickapoo Street where 39-year-old Joshua Quisenberry was allegedly holed up with a firearm.

Lincoln Police, Logan County Sheriff’s deputies, and Illinois State Police evacuated several homes in the area and began negotiations.

After several hours, and K9 unit was sent in and Quisenberry was taken into custody.

He remains in Logan County jail, charged with five felony offenses.

He appeared in court Wednesday where it was determined he will remain behind bars.
