Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Lincoln Land Community College invites families to experience the return of the popular “Haunted Lab” on Friday, Oct. 24 from 5-8:30 p.m. in upper Sangamon Hall on the LLCC-Springfield campus, 5250 Shepherd Road.

This free event is open to children of all ages, accompanied by a parent or guardian. Attendees will enjoy spooky science demonstrations, hands-on activities and learn about simple experiments they can try at home.

Science shows, led by club members, under the guidance of Jennifer Davis, LLCC West Lake Nature Grove and outreach coordinator, will be held in Rooms 2213 and 2215. Shows begin every 30 minutes. Children will witness exciting demonstrations featuring bubbles, color changes, fire and more — all designed to spark curiosity and a love for science.

While waiting for shows, children can explore interactive stations with hands-on activities in biology, geology, geography, physics and other scientific fields. Stations will be set up around the second floor of Menard Hall.

Costumes are welcome, and popcorn will be available for added festive fun.

LLCC’s Haunted Lab is sponsored by the natural and agricultural sciences department and the LLCC Chemistry and Biology Clubs.
