Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Capitol City Now has added a new feature to make it easier for readers to stay up-to-date. A “Google News” icon now appears on every article—click it, and you can add Capitol City Now as a preferred source in Google News.

By marking the site as a preferred source, you demonstrate that Capitol City Now’s content is trusted and relevant.

We strive to bring you the local and state news and information you want.  Now, you can never miss a story.

Simply go to our home page and add us to your regular Google preferred search.  You can do that at any story with the icon circled above.  Your support helps us keep delivering the news that matters to our community.

There’s also one more change.  We’ve also cleaned up our top-level “navigation bar” so that it’s easier to find news, weather, sports, obituaries, and more.  A separate menu with all our categories is now to the left of the navigation bar.
