IL Product Holiday Market returns the first weekend of December

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) announces the return of the Illinois Product Holiday Market to Downtown Springfield. The market will be held on December 5, 6, and 7 at the ‘Y Block,’ which is located north of the Governor’s Mansion.

This festive market will feature a wide array of Illinois products that are perfect for everyone on your shopping list this season. 

In a press release from the state of Illinois, IDOA Director, Jerry Costello said “The market checks all the boxes for a weekend in December – enjoy live music, have a glass of Illinois wine, sample local products and find unique and thoughtful gifts for those on your shopping list. You won’t find a more festive way to support small businesses.”

Among the many Illinois vendors, you will find great local business such as Rolling Lawns Farm, Jon Ellis Woodworking, Twyford BBQ, MKS Meats, Custom Cup Coffee, Berries and Flour: Bakery and Harvest Goods, and many more. During this event you can enjoy delicious, and ready to eat food such as Kurtos Pierogies and Polish Sausage while you shop.

The Illinois Product Holiday Market is also designed with families in mind. Bring the kiddos to enjoy the free holiday workshop, where they can make ornaments and send letters to Santa. They can also visit Santa.

Santa will be available for visit Friday, December 5 from 5 PM to 7, Saturday the 6 from 2 PM to 5, and Sunday the 7 from 11 AM to 2. The Market will also include live music while you enjoy all of the free activities throughout the event.

There will even be a Chef Demonstration on the following days and times: On the opening Friday, December 5, from 5 pm to 6:30, Saturday the 6 and Sunday the 7 from 11 am to 12:30

The IDOA is also proud to announce the return of its popular Illinois Product Holiday Box, which is now in its second year and better than ever. For 2025, shoppers can choose between two unique boxes, each filled with a curated selection of locally made products that showcase the best of Illinois.
