Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This weekend in Petersburg, the “Theatre in the Park” series is live with “I Remember Mama”. Cast members Evan Noyes and Claire Wright, were on the WTAX Morning Newswatch to discuss this upcoming performance, which will also run next weekend.

“We have some really great people here that really feel like a family,” said Noyes. “We’re such an important like family drama story. I think that’s great.
They go through their tough times, but they all love each other and they hold in there. So, it’s it really is beautiful.”

With a family drama story, what can we expect?

“It follows a tight knit family of Norwegian immigrants,” said Wright. “It follows their kind of struggles financially and the resilience of their family and specifically the character of mama making sacrifices for her children and her family.”

It’s a special attraction, the acting, the lights, the crowd. What does this feel like to you?

Being of college age and doing this show is really special to me and really personal,” said Noyes. “I love my parents so much, and I am so glad to be around them all the time.
So, it’s very special to me.”
