Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The most famous basketball team in the world will make a return visit to Springfield in January, 2026.

The Bank of Springfield Center (BOS) says as part of their 100th anniversary tour, the Harlem Globetrotters will play here January 8.  Presale of tickets for BOS Patrons will take place September 15-21, with sales opening for the rest of the public September 22.

As part of their “100 Year Tour Centennial Celebration,” the team will debut new jerseys they’ll wear against the Washington Generals.  The team says there also will be new “Premium Fan Experiences” like Magic and Celebrity Court Passes, VIP bench tickets, replica game balls, and souvenir tickets in select areas.  There also will be a free “5th Quarter” autograph session.

“This centennial season is a once-in-a-century celebration of 100 Years of jaw-dropping “No Way!” moves, 100 Years of “Wow!” moments, and 100 Years of basketball thrills,” said a news release.  “From gravity-defying dunks to game-changing tricks, fans will feel the history, the joy, and the fun that only the Globetrotters can deliver.”

The team’s news release describes Springfield as a “key stop” on their 100 year tour.
