Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – As Springfield marches into March, there are tons of events coming to the capitol. Amy Beadle of Visit Springfield sat down with Will Stevenson on WTAX’s Morning Newswatch to give us some information on upcoming events.

March kicks off with their opening weekend at The Railyard.

“They are going to have a bunch of stuff happening that weekend, March 6th and 7th. 4:00PM to 9:00pm on the 6th! and 11:00AM to 9:00PM on the 7th! That will be a wonderful weekend, with vendors and food!”

Also in March, St. Patrick’s Day is on the 17th, but Springfield is hosting the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on the 14th! Tons of fun and food lined up for the upcoming month!

Speaking of food, there’s more food with the Lincoln Memorial Garden starting their Maple Syrup and Pancake Breakfast Benefit weekends on March 21st! Followed up with “Star Parties” out at the conservatory at UIS on March 27th.
