Deja Voodoo and Lick Creek to rock Route 66 Motorheads for cancer research

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Springfield Plastics is turning up the volume on its annual Drain for the Cure fundraiser with the first-ever Sunday Funday event. The event will feature live music, a silent auction, and a lot of fun at Route 66 Motorheads located at 600 Toronto Road, Springfield. The fun happens Sunday, November 23, from 1 pm to 6.

Deja Voodoo and Lick Creek, two of the area’s most exciting acts, will take the stage to raise money for cancer research and prevention efforts for Simmons Cancer Institute at The SIU School of Medicine in Springfield.

Jennifer Furkin, President of Springfield Plastics, Inc. said in a recent press release “Drain for the Cure has grown every year, helping more people facing a cancer diagnosis and we’re excited to bring Drain for the Cure to Motorheads for our first-ever Sunday Funday and so grateful to the musicians of Deja Voodoo and Lick Creek, sponsors, and community members who make this possible.”

Enjoy great music, bid on auction items donated by local businesses, and support a cause that impacts families across the Midwest. Tickets are $20, available at drainforthecure.com or at the door. This is a 21+ event. Drain for the Cure’s Sunday Funday is sponsored by Springfield Plastics, Ace Sign Co, CDS Office Technologies,
Hickory Point Bank, Illinois National Bank (INB), and United Community Bank (UCB).
