Crime of the Week:  Help needed identifying suspects in Old Navy thefts

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking information to help the Springfield Police Department identify two individuals involved in a retail theft.

On May 15, 2026, two suspects entered Old Navy, located at 3261 South Veterans Parkway in Springfield, and selected a large amount of clothing merchandise throughout the store. After gathering the items, both suspects exited the business without paying for the merchandise.

Both suspects were black females, with the first suspect wearing purple scrubs and the second was wearing a gray shirt with black leggings.

Anyone with information regarding this incident, or can identify the suspect, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 217-788-8427, submit a tip on our website or use the P3 app. If your tip results in an arrest, you could receive a cash reward of up to $2,500.
