Crime of the Week:  Help needed identifying suspect in grocery store robbery, carjacking

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a robbery/vehicular invasion that occurred at All Star Grocery, 806 Black Ave., in Springfield.

On November 19, 2025, around 2 pm, the victim, was getting ready to leave in a vehicle when a light skinned male, wearing a black hoodie and a face mask, entered the vehicle through the passenger door.  After the victim refused to surrender their vehicle, the suspect struck them in the head with a firearm and fled.
