Crime of the Week: Help needed identifying suspect in bus battery

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to an aggravated battery that occurred in the area of Wolfe and Keys around 10pm on August 15, 2025.  

The victim was riding the bus and in the area of Wolfe and Keys when the suspect boarded.  The suspect immediately came up to victim and began kicking him in the head as well as slamming his head into the window of the bus.  The suspect was described as a mixed male wearing a green shirt.
