Crime of the Week:  Help identify suspect wanted in theft, criminal damage incident

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a theft and criminal damage case.

On August 3rd around 10pm an unknown black male wearing an orange hoodie and shorts forced entry into Rock Candy, located at 1830 Stevenson Drive in Springfield.  Once inside the business, the unknown black male stole the cash register with $200.00 in cash. Additionally, the suspect caused over $1,000.00 in damage to the door.
