Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Judy Bowlby of Dawson says she is the choice for people who believe U.S. Rep. Mary Miller (R-Hindsboro) is too conservative.

Bowlby’s career has been in the pharmaceutical industry and in lobbying, and she says most people are like herself: moderate.

While Miller is proud to be aligned with President Trump, Bowlby’s never met him.

“I am running against Mary Miller. But I think (Trump) has hit a mark with some people, (because) he says exactly what he thinks, and people who are disenchanted with the government process like that,” said Bowlby at her campaign kickoff Thursday at the Old State Capitol. “But that can also be a little concerning. I think we still have to treat government with a certain amount of process and with respect.”

The primary election is March 17.
