(CAPITOL CITY NOW) – After wrapping up an 83-79 season, the St. Louis Cardinals announced changes in the front office and a new approach Tuesday. Following the 2025 season, Chaim Bloom will take over as president of baseball operations. That’s when John Mozeliak will step down from the position after working for the team for nearly 30 years. Bloom came to the team in 2023 after being chief baseball officer for the Boston Red Sox. The move is seen as a “reset” for the team with a focus on developing a pipeline and laying the foundation for sustained excellence. Current Cardinals General Manager Mike Girsch was reassigned to vice president of special projects.
