Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Central Illinois Customer Service Association will be hosting a “summit” in October, bringing together customer service professionals to learn, share, and train. Amy Beadle with Visit Springfield, CILCSA member, talks about the “WOW Effect” summit with Will Stevenson on the WTAX Morning Newswatch.
Springfield draws thousands of visitors every year. Beadle says its important visitors have a good experience. Part of that experience is local businesses and organizations providing great customer service. The Central Illinois Customer Service Association has been helping make Springfield the “Friendliest City” for 10 years.
The keynote speaker will be Jack Stahlmann. Beadle says the message will be about “dealing with staff shortages, dealing with burnout, the negativity that can creep into a workplace and how to keep all those things at bay and some tips and tricks that you can use in your own workplace to stave that off”.
Breakout sessions after the keynote speaker’s speech will cover topics like tackling tough conversations. Beadle shares that you get what you tolerate, tough conversations are required when someone is not meeting expectations, which is to provide world class customer service.
Beadle says anyone in the community can register to attend the event.
The Wow Effect Summit will take place October 7th, during national customer service week, at the Crown Plaza.
