Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Illinois State Fair is about food.
Judges Friday named the donut horseshoe from Chatham’s Scoop du Jour the grand champion at the Golden Abe awards. But the contest is not over.
“Everyone who competed in the contest, even those who were in the preliminary rounds, will have a QR code at their stands,” said fair manager Rebecca Clark, one of Friday’s judges. “If you like it, scan the QR code, then we’ll announce the people’s choice on Saturday,” Aug. 16, in the Expo Building.
