The Illinois Liquor Control Commission performed a 26 underage compliance check yesterday found six establishments not in compliance for selling alcohol to underage individuals. The establishments were: Auburn Quick & Easy, the 104 Store, and Save A Lot in Auburn…Casey’s General Store on south Main in Chatham…Circle K on State Route 104 in Divernon and SD Petroleum on South Street in Mechanicsburg. The 104 Store in Auburn had a prior violation.
Teams randomly visit liquor stores, restaurants and bars in communities to check for ongoing compliance with state laws that no liquor is sold to persons under 21 years of age. The Liquor Control Commission works with local law enforcement and underage participants recruited from area high schools and colleges.
The following establishments passed the compliance check by refusing to sell liquor to the ILCC underage participants:
