Remember Chris Schaller?
The state says it’s wrapped up its case against the former Diamond Residential Mortgage agent, revoking his mortgage license and fining him 128-thousand dollars. The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation’s Banking Division says Schaller originated at least ten loans under fraudulent practices – and, separately, had borrowers sign over their interest in property to Schaller, while telling them they were obtaining a mortgage. Schaller’s banned for life from the mortgage business in Illinois.
