Jeff Parsons, the former owner of THR and Associates who owes $12.3 million in a back wage and penalty settlement, has been ordered to turn over the contents of a storage locker in Texas.
Judge Thomas Schanzle-Haskins said the contents can be liquidated in Texas and do not have to be shipped to Illinois. He said in his ruling that he’d need more time to decide on the financial penalties requested.
Attorney Doug Quivey this week suggested Parsons pay $1.2 million immediately plus $100,000 monthly until the settlement is paid. Parsons said this week that, were the judge to rule that way, he’d appeal as he has no money. THR went bankrupt in 2012, as did Parsons personally.
