Former Sangamon County Coroner Susan Boone dies at 76

Springfield, IL  (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Former Sangamon County Coroner Susan Boone died Dec. 30 at the age of 76. Boone served as coroner for many years but resigned in 2011 amid controversy over poor record keeping and not using a board-certified pathologist. Services were held Friday at Staab Funeral Home.
