Producers of the “Scream” franchise are planning to end the series with a fifth film.

“Scream 5” has reportedly been in the works since “Scream 4” was released in 2011 and producer Harvey Weinstein has recently revealed he would like to put the movie series to rest.

He tells, “We’ve milked that cow.”

Weinstein also hints that the main stars from all the Scream films – including Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette – could be back for the last movie.

He explains, “Everyone lived in ‘Scream 4!'”

The first “Scream” film hit theaters in 1996 and starred Drew Barrymore, Skeet Ulrich and Matthew Lillard.
