U of I: Nationwide Search For New President

The University of Illinois is planning three town hall meetings later this month to obtain input for a committee leading a nationwide search for a new president.

Current President Robert Easter plans to retire next year. The Board of Trustees intends to name a replacement by late fall. The meetings will be a chance for staff, students, alumni and community members to share their thoughts and help guide the search. Several members of the presidential search committee will attend each meeting. Input from the forums will be presented to the full committee.

The meetings are June 23rd in Springfield at University Hall, June 24 in Chicago at Student Center West and June 25 in Urbana-Champaign in the Beckman Auditorium.
