A representative for Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has denied reports suggesting the music mogul is engaged to his singer girlfriend, Cassie.

The 44-year-old rapper has dated the 27 year old beauty on-and-off since 2007, and he sparked rumors they were set to wed on Sunday after posting a photo of a stunning diamond ring on Instagram.

The caption read, “Baby do you like it? I just want to get you wat (sic) you Like! I just wanna Mk (make) you smile!”

Fans grew curious as to whether he had actually proposed via the photosharing site, but his publicist has now confirmed the pair is not heading down the aisle and that the bauble was merely a gift.

This isn’t the first time Combs and Cassie have sparked engagement rumours – in April 2012, the R&B singer shared a picture of her new manicure while sporting a large sparkler on her ring finger.
