No tour for Coldplay

TOO EXPENSIVE FOR COLDPLAY?: The rockers say going on a trek is just too costly right now. Photo: Associated Press

British rockers Coldplay have decided not to go on tour to promote their new album because hitting the road is now “too expensive”.

Frontman Chris Martin wanted to launch a series of shows to coincide with the release of new record “Ghost Stories” this month, but the singer is convinced putting on concerts has become too costly and they couldn’t afford it.

He says, “We’re not touring, no, not for this album. It is difficult. We’d like to have toured, but it is too expensive and it costs a lot of money to build, so we couldn’t have afforded to go.”
