Play Ball!!
Play Ball!!

Good Tuesday afternoon!!  I’m exhausted!  What a Monday I had yesterday!  CrossFit WOD, basketball, and a double header softball game!  I’m spent!!  The Hickory River softball team started the season 1-1 last night out at the amazing Spartan Sports Park near Chatham.  Everyone on our team hit the ball really well!!  We put up lots of runs and got the win in the first game but the second game was not that fair.  Let’s just say we played a team that should not be in our REC league.  These guys looked like they played 7 days a week!  They all had their own bats that cost around $300 or more and they barely had to swing to hit a home run.  My Hickory River team all chipped in to purchase ONE good bat!!  This other team could basically just pick where they wanted to hit the ball and for some reason they decided to hit about 8 right back at me, the pitcher!  I know it’s part of the game but a simple, “Sorry Man!”  would have helped and I only heard one or two guys say that.  Just not cool.  Oh well, we played well and had fun.  I had 2 home runs and a few other guys had home runs also!!!  We’ll be ready to get after it next Monday night!!  Make sure you guys stop by Hickory River for some amazing food with great prices!!!  You can come watch us play on Monday nights out at  Spartan Sports Park if you’d like!!  We would love the fans!!  Ok so that blog went on for awhile…I’ll let you go now!!
