Good Monday morning! Hope your weekend was a good one! Mine was great! I finally made it on the lake but it hurt! Here’s what happened on Saturday. My g/f and I met our buddy, Jim, out on the lake around 1 o’clock. We looked at the radar and it said we would be good until about 3 o’clock. I didn’t even fill the jet ski up with gas I just had about 4 bars of fuel left in it. So we use the boat ramp off of Stevenson Dr. over by the power plant on the north end of the lake and we decided that we would just cruise all the way out to the other side of the lake near Chatham and head back. Once we made it to Chatham I looked up at the sky and said, “We need to head back!” It just looked like a nasty storm rolling in. So we floor it and start heading back. We make it to the I-55 bridge and my gas light comes on. I start getting a little nervous. Then we make it to the Lindsay Bridge and the rain starts. I give my g/f her sunglasses and I tell her she’s going to need these. The wind picked up and the rain started pouring! We were going about 55mph and it felt like we were getting hit with bb’s. I had my head down and would look up every once in awhile just to see what was ahead of me. I would ask my g/f if any boats were coming and she said no. So we just hammered down and made it safely to the dock. WOW!!! What a painful ride!! Oh and I didn’t run out of gas!!! That was my awesome Saturday on the lake!!
